I believe that you will find the following most informative. Please continue.

It is a warm, sunny day. They are sprawled contentedly on a grass covered meadow surrounded by flowers and soothed by a babbling brook, holding hands and feeling in love.
These are the times that we most tend to enjoy just being alive, at any age.
In our youth we feel totally indestructible, and no one could ever convince us that we might age, and not live forever. Get old? Me? Not live forever? "No way!" shouts the adolescent, with total conviction.
And yet, it isn't very long before we begin to realize that we must take steps to maintain our health, youthfulness, and attractiveness. We become aware that we must pay attention to our "lifestyle", in order to promote a long, healthy life.
The length of our life is dependent, quite a lot, by the way that we live our lives - "our lifestyle". The length of our life is also determined though, and is ultimately limited by our genes. Of course, our genes are inherited. And, as the research of Richard G. Cutler of the National Institute on Aging, National Institutes of Health has shown, our genes limit human lifespan to an absolute maximum of about 120 years. Cutler studied the evolution of human genes.

Until we find the rest of the three billion dollars requested by the National Institutes of Health and the World Health Organization for the mapping of the human genes (genome), we cannot hope for more than about 120 years of life.
When the mapping of the human genome is completed, genetic engineering may extend our youthful health and our lifespan by...who knows how much.

And, of course, diseases and handicaps of all kinds may slide into history, just as penicillin and other advancements have "miraculously" put so many infirmities into our history. We may be able to cure and prevent every illness known to man, and even re-grow lost body parts. And since our genes control our lifespan, who knows how much we may extend the length of our lives?
Meanwhile, we must rely on the information from such noble organizations as the American Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, The American Lung Association, The National Kidney Foundation, The National Institute On Aging, The American Arthritis Association, and so many other courageous groups for the best ways to live a long, healthy life.

The problem that we all have been experiencing though, is that there is so much information circulating, some reliable and much not so reliable, that it is difficult to know what lifestyle actually does result in a healthy long life, youthful and attractive. Even if the average lay person was able to separate the reliable information from the unreliable, how is he or she to remember it all? By accumulating stacks of books? By subscribing to every health and research report and magazine available? And what lay person could recognize and understand the reliable ones, much less take the time to read them and apply them to their lifestyle?
In 1972, as I observed my father beginning to show his age, I adopted the study of Fitness and Long Life as my primary hobby. I wanted to know all of the important ways to live a healthy long life, youthful and attractive. In 1976 I founded the "Carl I. Bourhenne Medical Research Foundation" a California tax exempt non-profit Corporation (originally named "Health, Beauty, and Aging Control Medical Research Foundation) to perform research on Healthy Long Life and Anti-Aging. Very soon I became aware of the need for one central source of complete, reliable, up-to-date information on how to live a Healthy Long Life, youthful and attractive.
So I wrote my first, elaborate though amateurish Fitness and Long Life Manual. I used it to give free seminars at the Torrance Library, here in California, on how to live a healthy long life and stay youthful. The Torrance Library donated a small auditorium each month for my seminars. I did not sell any of these original, elaborate but amateurish Fitness and Long Life Manuals, although I was often asked to. I did not have confidence that it was complete and 100% reliable, because at that time I had not studied the scientific method of developing reliable information.
Finally, realizing how much I did not know, and aspiring to become the world's leading expert on how to live a healthy long life, youthful and attractive, I returned to school full time (while working full time) and earned four degrees, including a Master's Degree in Gerontology - the study of the aging process, from California State University.

My thesis committee at California State University granted me permission to re-write my original, amateurish Fitness and Long Life Manual as my Master's Thesis, which I did, making it more complete. Of course, it was also much more professional, and completely scientifically based. During my Master’s program I concentrated both on the biology of aging, and on scientific research methods. I became so adept at evaluating the research of other scientists that my leading research professor asked me to give a demonstration in class on detecting badly done research.
My NEW Fitness and Long Life Manual (HOW TO LIVE THE LONGEST LIFE POSSIBLE) is based on my Master's Thesis, and is much more professional, more complete, and more up-to-date than the earlier one that I had written in 1976. It is now much more up to date than even my Master’s Thesis. I am happy to say that it accomplishes what I set out to achieve. HOW TO LIVE THE LONGEST LIFE POSSIBLE contains all of the information that is important for a healthy long life, youthful and attractive. And, of course, it contains up-to-date, only reliable information.
My fond wish is that by providing you with this information, HOW TO LIVE THE LONGEST LIFE POSSIBLE, I am giving you many more years of healthy long life, youthful and attractive, than you would have without it. As important to me, because I care about myself and my loved ones, is the fact that I have included, with nothing unnecessary and all reliable, all of the proven and replicated information presently known on how to live as healthy a long life as is possible, as youthful and attractive as is possible. Even though I don't know you, I care about you because we are the same.
